Welcome!
Massage
Therapy is the practice of soft tissue and joints manipulation for
treatment and prevention of pain and physical dysfunction. Some
benefits of massage therapy include pain relief due to acute or chronic
musculoskeletal injuries, reduce anxiety, stress or depression, prevent
fibrosis or scar tissue, improve flexibility and posture, increase
blood and lymph circulation.
Massage
therapy is covered by most extended health benefits and an insurance
receipt will be provided as requested. A doctor's referral may be
required prior to your treatment. Please consult your group benefits
policy for details.
Massage
therapists are regulated health care professionals, governed by the
College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), and must adhere to
health care by-laws, policies, standards and regulations.
Your First Massage Treatment
A
health history form must be filled out prior to your first treatment,
followed by an assessment and a discussion of your treatment plan. A
brief explanation of your treatment will be discussed, as well as
clothing according to the client's comfort, position and draping on the
table. You have the right to withdraw your consent at anytime.
