About Me

Michelle Rodriguez
Registered Massage Therapist

My passion is to help others. With this passion, I worked with the public through years and years of customer service in the retail industry - but it wasn't enough for me. After much research, deliberation and encouragement from family and friends, I decided to take the Massage Therapy Intensive Program at CDI College (currently Everest College). After 2200 hours of studies, over 200 clinical hours, 21 practical field placement hours, I received my diploma.

In 2006, I became a Massage Therapist and registered under the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Since then, I have worked for physiotherapy clinics, massage therapy clinics and spas. Starting in 2006, I continued my studies by taking courses such as Hot Stones Therapy, Structural Myofascial Technique, and Thai Hot Stems Therapy. I plan to further enrich my education through courses such as Craniosacral Therapy, Active Release Therapy and Orthobionomy.

I have treated clients seeking relaxing massage to clients involved in Motor Vehicle Accidents or women in their later stages of pregnancy. I have recently opened my own clinic in downtown Ottawa and look forward to continuing treating my existing clients or meeting new clients in need of a great and effective massage treatment. Let massage therapy be the next step to a healthier you and what better way to do so with the help of a massage therapist with an undying passion to help people.

Lymphatic Drainage
Service provided by Krista Dicks, RMT

Thank you for putting your health and well-being in the hands of a Registered Massage Therapist. I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2006. I graduated from CDI College in Ottawa, Ontario. I enjoy using Swedish massage techniques to provide relaxation, helping individuals achieve rest and less stress in their lives and therapeutic massage therapy for the treatment of acute or chronic muscle pain. I have wanted to be a Massage Therapist since I was young when my grandmother told me I had “magic hands.” I have a BA from Queen’s University, which has helped me to research and write for future publication in Alternative Therapy and Massage Therapy journals. I am an active member of Goodlife Fitness and I enjoy new activities. I am also a certified Pilates Instructor, which compliments my treatment plan and homecare recommendations for patients to experience prolonged healing after a Massage Therapy treatment.  In May 2008, I became certified as a Lymphedema Therapist through the Norton School of Lymphedema in Chicago, Illinois. I want to help people with Lymphedema receive proper care and guidance so that they can be educated in further prevention and maintenance to achieve a normal life. I also hope to educate all individuals about the benefits of Manual Lymphatic Drainage or Lymphatic Massage. It helps the body flush out toxins and stored fats to promote healthy lymph flow. It improves the immune system, and it may play a part in the prevention of Cancer! I am grateful to be given the gift of massage and the privilege to work on the public. I look forward to seeing you soon!
